Ogie Alcasid Offers Song Of Praise 'Live For Jesus'

Ogie Alcasid offers his new single 'Live For Jesus', with first collaboration with Regine Velasquez and partners Jaya and Gary Gotidoc.
“Hangad at panalangin ko na ma-inspire tayo ng kantang ‘to na maniwalang malalagpasan natin ang krisis na ‘to,” Ogie said. “Si Hesus ang kasagutan. Sa mga panahon ding ito, kung saan mahina tayo, ay makikita natin ang kalakasan ng Diyos, kung paanong sapat na ang awa niya sa atin.”
The song of praise under Star Music was released on Friday (April 17), with backup vocals, Songbird and the Queen of Soul, as well as a short rap verse from Jaya's partner Gary who was just released from the hospital after having a mild stroke. Ogie wrote the lyrics and music of Live for Jesus, while Mark Lopez arranged and Tim Recla mixed and mastered the song. According to the singer-songwriter, he took inspiration from writing a song from the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 12:9, which states, “But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 'Therefore I will boast all the more gladly for my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. " It is no longer surprising that everyone nowadays believes that the biggest problem they are looking into is their fate after the enhanced community quarantine. And because of this, Filipinos enjoyed the inspirational message of the song in the midst of the pandemic.
